Maciocia to stay?

Eskimoes have renewed his contract for another 3 seasons. Is anyone else pissed? Thank goodnss Ray has left for NFL. Maciocia can't play his golden boy anymore hopefully we'll stat to win something. The only reason why we won the 2005 GC was thanks to Jason Maas. Anybody else agree?

That little runt has 6 games before they run his a$$ outta town. Good thing Jason is back but Maciocas days are surley numbered. He threw Chapdlain top the wolves for his own gain. Its gonna come back to haunt him

Ummm, have I been asleep? How is Ray gone? He signed an extension with the Eskies on Dec 19 of 2007? Anyway it won't matter who is QB or Coach there.... until they get some O lineman who can pass protect.

I don't quite understand them signing Maciocia for 3 more years, he has done nothing and has missed the playoffs the last 2 years, he is not a CFL coach.

As for Ray he was a good strong quarterback and the loss will be felt for the eskies, they have Maas back, but I think he needs to regain some confidence before he can become the quarterback he was 3 years ago, but I am sure he can do it.

The biggest problem with Maciocia is his offence is so predictable that all the teams almost seem to know what is coming, he has to let his assistants to their job and listen to them.

I can't find any reference anywhere to Ricky Ray leaving the Esks.  He signed a four year contract last year and I believe the NFL has a policy of not talking to CFL players that are under contract.

As for Maciocia there were strong rumours that he would return to Montreal where he started his CFL career and where  a trilingual coach would be a PR bonanza.  Us Als fans are just as happy that he's staying in Edmonton.

MACIOCIA GOT A NEW DEAL? GOOD LORD! He is an awful coach! And now that Ray is gone there's no doubt about it -- the Eskimos will finish with a dismally bad record -- I expect it to be worse than the Tiger-Cats, who were still in freefall even after snagging Printers.
