Question:

Macs Vs Pcs - The Ultimate Debate?

Okay, the gloves are off. Lets have it - which is better. Now Macs are trying to dominate the market boasting OS stability and 'coolness'. PCs are getting embarresed with Vista's poor reception and the domination of the console gaming market. Maybe you could slag off Macs with ease 10 years ago, but what about today? Overpriced pretentious rubbish? Or a new era for computing?

  1. >macs have an elegant design

    >they're simple

    >perfect if you're itunes/apple lover (iphone/ipod)

    >lesser users means lesser malwares (virus/spyware) made for it

....*mac is "not" virus free, let me just get that straight becoz technically mac is a personal computer (pc) too

    >pc design varies... giving you a variety of choices

    >more features (makes it more complicated depending on how you view it)

    >easy hardware and software compatibility

    >upgrading is easy, and its cheap... "more bang for the buck"

those are the pros of each side...

  2. Depends on your preference, Macs are more secure and easier to get support. But PCs have more software available, cheaper and more customizable.

As for me, I am sticking with PC, unless of course Windows 7 turns out to be a worse sucker than Vista. Then its goodbye Windows and Hello Mac.

  3. erm everyone has a different opinion. both pcs and macs work they just do it differently...

  4. Boring question dude. Do a search its been done to death on this site.

I would go for a new era in computing option to answer your question.

Macs have more good software available that most PC users know about including free stuff.

Yes, Macs are customizeable to some degree although a lot depends on the model you buy. Also most people who buy Macs don't buy them for their customisational ability, they buy them because they want a good system that is easy to use out of the box and reliable and doesn't require a defrag every month or so just to keep the system running.
