Macy's cosmetics counter employee wages? does anyone know?

It can depend in what city you work in and what counter/line you work for along with your sales experience.  At the low end you can probably expect to make $7-8/hour and possibly $10-14 at some stores.  You may also earn commission on top of that which varies tremendously based on the line and amount of sales for that store/counter.  If you are on Clinique, Estee Lauder or Lancome - your sales could be bigger but you will be expected to do your part when Gift comes around or you have special events or appointments to book.  Other lines may vary depending on the store.  I used to work at a Macy's in the Atlanta, GA area.  It's hard work and sometimes it can be very slow and you have to get on the phones to drum up business with your customers from your client book.

My mom works there part time. She hates retail ut stayed there for a while because of the pay and tons of free make up/discounts. I don't know exact wages but they're deffintiely not bad. She also gets commission and gratis which definitely helps.
