how much do they tend to give when the up your limit? I started at an impressive $100 and after 3 months got up to $200. What's my next stop????

  1. Call them every 3 months and ask about the maximum guideline increase amount that they can approve you for.

    If your credit history is thin or you don't use the card much, you may get smaller increases at first (probably somewhere around double your current limit). The CLI amounts should improve over time.

    Out of the different store card issuers, Macys seems to be one of the most lenient in both the amounts of the CLIs and the shorter time period between CLIs.
