Madam Lilibet likely to stand first in STP Construction Handicap
Since winning the £32 Bonus At 32Red.com Handicap at Chepstow, the Sharon Watt trained bay filly, Madam Lilibet, has been at the peak of form that will help her bring home the ace title of the STP Construction Handicap, scheduled to take place at Newcastle
racecourse on Monday, August 27.
In the battle for £1,617, the three-year-old novice runner will compete against 14 rivals. Traditionally, the fantastic filly will demonstrate an outstanding performance on the soft ground of 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 93 yards.
The way Madam Lilibet bagged two tremendous triumphs during the last few weeks is an evidence of her inherent racing capabilities and skills that she will apply once again today.
The brilliant daughter of Authorized out of Foxilla marvellously broke her maiden by winning the John Smith's Fair Friday Handicap at Hamilton on July 3. Despite being an underdog, she ran exceptionally well to trigger a big upset.
After finishing 7th in the 14-runner event of the Joy Jordan 1960 Rome Finalist Handicap, the young and enthusiastic filly nicely notched up top spot again in the £32 Bonus At 32Red.com Handicap that went down at Chepstow on August 16.
Now, the Mrs Clodagh McStay bred talented runner is awash with confidence and winning impetus ahead of the STP Construction Handicap. It will be quite logical to claim that Madam Lilibet has all the chances to thrive as none of her rivals is strong enough
to become a hurdle for her.
However, Cadgers Brig will perform well for the runner-up rank. The Keith Dalgleish trained chestnut gelding gained a couple of third positions in the month of June. He moved ahead to show two more elegant performances at Ayr racecourse in July. Overall,
the veteran horse has just one triumph to his name.
In the coming contest, Jock Allan bred gelding will again try for the podium while running under Tom Eaves who is going to drive him for the very first time. On the other hand, Madam Lilibet will sprint with the guidance of Paddy Aspell.
So the race will be worth watching. The results are quite predictable. Good luck to the entire line-up.
