Madden 08 superstar glitch?

Question

when im playing superstar in madden 08 on my wr or HB and im running a route i use the left analog stick to move but for some reason my character keeps turning really fast either right or left over and over and over uncontrollably as if i were using the right analog stick as well ( right analog stick = the quick and smooth cuts). any1 else have this problem? idk if its a glitch or if it is trying to force my character to go somewhere.

( and no, im not accidentally pressing down on the right analog stick)
