Madden Curse 2009???

What are the chances of Favre getting injured and the Jets do terrible and are stuck with Clemens as their QB? Clemens is good but if Favre gets injured Clemens wont have much experience this year so he wont be all that good.

  1. Well, technically the Madden Curse still lives because his return to the game caused him to be traded from the team he's played for for 16 years! As far as I'm concerned, that extended the Madden Curse because EA wanted to avoid it this year by putting someone who's retired on the cover. Yet, he came back to the game!

    He hasn't missed a game in 16 years, so don't count on him getting injured. However, the Jets OL is weak.

    All curses are merely in your heads, but this one holds water. The last 8 years, the person on the cover has gotten injured or had something happen to him to prevent him from performing to the level they had been. Seven of the last eight have had injuries and the eighth one is now in prison!!!


  2. i think he was already cursed with the whole situation he had then to make things worse he didnt get traded to a big time contender he got traded to the jets. as far as him getting hurt i cant see it happening hes way to tough and hasent missed a game his whole career.

  5. Well, had Favre not been involved in the Madden Curse I would laugh this off because he doesn't get injured often and if he does, he plays through it well.  But since I believe in this curse, I think the chances of that happening are pretty good.

  6. He's a New York Jet.  A Jet quarterback, no less.  His chances of getting hurt are pretty strong.  That's a curse stronger than the Madden game's.

  7. I agree the curse is stupid - coincidence, nothing more. How many players get injured every season? How many get in trouble? How many of them are on the cover of a video game, or Sports Illustrated.

    Superstition is for people who don't have the brain power to accept things the way they are.
