Madeley to steer the Bags Easter Bunny Sprint – Qual. Final his way at Nottingham on 13th March
The Grade IR Bags Easter Bunny Sprint – Qual. Final is to be staged at Nottingham over 305 metres flat. The lineup for the £350 prize money race includes Done The Lot, Madeley, Mineola Chill, Dons Jewel, Black Contact and Zulu Commander.
The hound with the best credentials for winning the race tonight is Madeley, Robbie De Niro’s four-year-old fawn son out of b***h Lady Leeds. He was successful in his seasonal debut on 28th January at Nottingham over 305 metres by racing through the distance in 18.26 seconds.
He led by a staggering 9 ¼ lengths while Salacres Nora finished right behind the winner.
Madeley came third in the second start of the season on 11th February in a Grade A1 500 metres Flat race at Nottingham. The race was won by Mosquito Pilot while Expert Gem turned out to be the runner up.
The 7/4 favourite of the race, Aghaburren Jim ended fifth.
He scored the next race by reaching the other end of the wire in 30.40 seconds on 18th February in a Grade A1 500 metres Flat at Nottingham. Madeley escaped defeat by a narrow neck’s difference from the runner up of the race, Kielduff College.
Westferry Kaden, the evening’s favourite had to settle with the fourth position.
After coming third in a Grade D1 305 metres flat race at Nottingham on 25th February, Madeley captured the next three races, getting himself entitled for a hat trick.
He bagged a Grade A1 500 metres Flat on 2nd March at Nottingham by clocking the distance in 30.29 seconds. The 5/4 favourite winner of the race was in lead of 2 ¼ lengths. Headleys Ego was the runner up of the race while Salacres King settled third.
The next win was not as easy because Madeley was only ¾ of a length away from the runner up of the race, Romeo Absolute. The winner went through the track in 30.77 seconds while the runner up joined him on the other side of the wire after racing for 30.83 seconds.
His last start and the third race for the hat trick was the victory in Bags Easter Bunny Sprint – Heat 2 on 9th March at Nottingham over 305 metres.
He has all the chances of getting the eighth start credited against his name as a victory.
