Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has suggested
to the Indian batting maestro, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556,
not to participate in domestic competitions like the Indian Premier League,
as he is being considered for the ‘Bharat Ratna’ award.  
The ‘Bharat Ratna’ award is one of country’s highest civilian awards. While talking about legendary batsman, Tendulkar, Chouhan expressed that it is not appropriate for a player of Tendulkar’s stature to be auctioned, bought or sold.
While talking to media, the Chief Minister said, "In my view, Sachin Tendulkar should not play in IPL if his name is being considered for Bharat Ratna."
"When players like Sachin Tendulkar are sold and bought, it really hurts. A player plays for the country and not for companies," he added.
The 38-year-old batsman, Tendulkar, who is considered as the God of cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, is the highest scoring batsman in world cricket.
The right-handed batsman made his debut against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, at Karachi in 1989. He has played 180 Test matches, scoring 14851, including the highest score of 248 runs with a brilliant average of 56.25. He has scored 51 centuries and 60 half-centuries in this
format of the game.
The top-order batsman, who holds almost every batting record, has
marked many achievements in his career.
Tendulkar, who is just one ton away from completing his 100th century, has received the BCCI Cricketer of the Year
and the 'Castrol Indian Cricketer of the Year' awards recently, in 2011.
The Little Master also received the Rajiv Gandhi Award in 2005 and the Padma Vibhushan award in 2008.
