  1. Madison. Hands down.

  2. Madeline.

  3. Madeline! :)

    Another suggestion: Madigan!

  4. i like Madison better

  5. Definitely Madeline!

Madison is way too trendy -- it's currently ranked #5 in the U.S.  Madeline is definitely popular, but not nearly as popular.  It's currently ranked #61.

Additionally, Madeline is a lovely French name with a lot of history behind it.  It sounds classy and sophisticated; while it's cute enough for a little girl, it would be lovely on an adult.  Madison is much more masculine; while you can certainly trace its history back to the US Presidency, it's usage as a given name came about through the movie "Splash."  Not such a classy lineage.

If you are looking for a name that would allow you to use "Maddie," you may also want to consider the not-so-common Matilda.  Of course, then you would spell it "Mattie," but it would sound exactly the same.

  6. I like Madison better, but both are becoming really popular.

  7. Marisa or Marisol...Madison and Madeline are both WAY too trendy these days

  8. Madeline!

  9. I like just Maddie because thats what she will be called anyways and just as many middle names go with that as the other two!!!!!!! I hope I helped!!!!

  10. Madeline, it's prettier and girlier.

  11. I was going to call my daughter Madison, we were set on it for a couple weeks then i saw how popular it was and maddie too. I also had a girl tell me she had 3 maddies in her class already this year. So we switched to a non-common name for her...so I would go with Madeline its cute, and not as popular yet.

    Madeline Michelle

    Madeline Nicole

  12. they ae both pretty but i like madison better

  13. Madeline.

Both are cute and could use the nick name Maddie.

  14. Madison

  15. I like Both. How about Madelyn?

  16. They're both lovely names.

But I think Madeline is my favourite.

Which ever you choose is very pretty.

    Hope I Helped :)

  17. Definitely Madeline.  Madison means 'Son of" something.....so I don't like it because of the meaning.

  18. I love both names! I like them spelled Madisyn and Madelyn though! I think I prefer the name Madisyn, it's just too cute! Hope this helps! =)

  19. Either way the nickname could be Maddy I love both of them.

  20. Oh, DEFINITELY Madeline!

Madison is one of those trendy names that, 10 years form now, will scream "born around 2008."

Both names will give you nickname Maddie (is that what you're going for?), but Madeline will also give Lina, Mandy -- some other options if she doesn't like her childhood nickname.

  21. Madeline

  22. Both are pretty, but I'd definitely go with Madeline over Madison.  Madeline just sounds more classic and elegant; Madison sounds a bit trendy since it's becoming so incredibly popular these days (Madeline is as well, but at least it's been used as a name long before Madison was, for girls anyway).

  23. I love the name Madison

  24. Madison.

Madeline reminds me of that show with the girl with red hair...haha
