I was wondering where the second hand clothing stores/op-shops are in Madrid? And also, I know there are alot of antique shops, but are there any which sell antique jewellery amd trinkets? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Try this site although I´ll admit that the Antiques part isn´t up to date. Your best bet is to head for Metro: La Latina and head down the hill as if you were going to "el rastro". The area is full of antique & craft shops. When you get to the bottom of the hill turn right and go to the Metro: Puerta de Toledo, It saves you having to climb the hill again. Shops in this area tend to close Mondays as they work the Sunday for the market (ie they´ll be open on the Sunday)

  2. The majority of the antique stores in Madrid are clustered in one area.  Sorry its been a couple of years since I went and I don't remember the name of the road.  Get yourself a copy of the Lonely Planet travel guide and it will tell you in there.  Also they have the 'Rastro' which is a huge market and this starts in the Antique area.

Shopping for anything in Madrid is fantastic, with little boutiques and big shops, I am sure you will find exactly what you are looking for.
