Retired Dutch international, Ronald De Boer, has expressed his belief that Real Madrid can win La Liga even if they lose Saturday’s El Clasico.
The former Barcelona midfielder has claimed that Jose Mourinho’s men are strong enough to recover from the aftermath of a defeat at the hands of their traditional rivals, stressing that one has to consider their performance throughout the season before reaching
a conclusion.
La Blaugrana play hosts to Los Blancos this coming Saturday to play out La Liga’s second El Clasico this season. The weekend will see Spain’s greatest rivalry take the pitch as the Spanish Primera Division’s title race hangs in the balance.
To add to the enthusiasm attached to Saturday’s fixture, it is important to note that this may be the most important match of this season’s league campaign for both the teams.
At the moment, the Spanish capital-based outfit sit at the top of the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings, four points clear of second-place Barca.
Hence, El Clasico provides an opportunity for Madrid to increase their advantage over the current Spanish champions, and the Catalans with a chance to intensify the chase for silverware.
Pep Guardiola’s men will be hoping to complete their remarkable comeback in the league table as they were 10 points behind Real earlier this year.
With an outstanding run which they are currently enjoying, the Catalan giants have managed to find a way back in contention for the Liga BBVA title.
After Madrid dropped several points in recent weeks, the gap at the top of the table has been reduced to just four points.
However, De Boer believes that Los Vikingos will not allow Barcelona to reclaim their title.
While talking to reporters, the Dutchman quoted:
"I obviously hope that Barcelona will win the league title, but I have a feeling that Real Madrid won't give this away any more. Even if Madrid lose Saturday's Clasico, I still think they'll win the title."

"They have made a lot of progress under [Jose] Mourinho. They score a lot of goals and hardly ever concede. I don't think they will win all their remaining games, but Barcelona won't do that either."
Who will win the upcoming Clasico? Will it be Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid, who have proved to be a destructive force inside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604? We can only wait and find out.
