Mads Glaesner clinches Men’s 200m freestyle title: 2011 Austrian Short Course Qualifying Meet
Day one of the 2011 Austrian Short Course Qualifying Meet ended with several attention grabbing swimming performances of athletes in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, on Friday, November 25.
Mads Glaesner notched Men’s 200m freestyle title against his rivals by claiming the finishing divider in a scintillating blot of 1 minute and 46.74 seconds. Arda Gurdal secured second position in the respective race by hitting the finishing blockade in a
time of 1 minute and 47.84 seconds, while David Brandl settled at third spot in a mark of 1 minute and 47.96 seconds.
Meanwhile the Men’s 200m back-stroke crown was snatched by Sebastian Stoss in a nerve wrecking mark of 1 minute and 58.09 seconds. In the meantime, Iskender Bashlakov pocketed silver title in a time of 2 minutes and 00.57 seconds and Christian Zluga got
third position in a spot of 2 minutes and 01.15 seconds.
Dinko Jukic claimed Men’s100m butterfly title by touching the finishing blockade in a winning blot of 52.55 seconds. Martin Spitzer settled at second spot in a time of 53.66 seconds, while the bronze title went to Pavel Sankovich in a time of 53.88 seconds.

Fabienne Nadarajah took home the Women’s 50m back-stroke title in a time of 27.88 seconds. Aneta Pechancova earned second place honours by claiming the finishing barrier in a time of 28.54 seconds, while Alzbeta Rehorkova settled at third spot in a mark of
28.61 seconds.
Additionally, Jordis Steinegger secured Women’s 400m Individual Medley title by thrashing the finishing wall in a time of 4 minutes and 41.43 seconds. Giulia Gabrielleschi finished second after completing her swim in a mark of 4 minutes and 46.01 seconds,
while Martina Eihenicka settled at third place in 4 minutes and 49.55 seconds.

Tjasa Vozel won Women’s 100m breast-stroke title by posting a winning time of 1 minute and 08.22 seconds, while Buse Gunaydin settled at second spot in a time of 1 minute and 08.24 seconds. Lisa Zaiser secured third position in 1 minute and 08.78 seconds.
Erica Buratto topped Women’s 200m freestyle race in a time of 1 minute and 58.66 seconds, while Margherita Panziera clinched Women’s 200m back-stroke crown by claiming the finishing wall in a time of 2 minutes and 11.14 seconds.
