Denmark’s talented shuttlers Mads Pieler Kolding and Julie Houmann established their supremacy in the arena as they nailed Mixed Doubles title at the Forza Denmark International 2012 on Saturday, May 5, in Denmark.
In the final match, Mads and Julie thrashed their lower ranked compatriots Kim Astrup Sorensen and Line Kjaersfeldt in a fascinating fashion.
Mads and Julie, who were seeded at the top in Mixed Doubles main draw of Denmark International, played remarkable badminton in the whole competition and got the prize in the form of Mixed Doubles crown.
The top seeded Mads and Julie showed impressive performance in the court on the final day and remained successful in winning the match quite easily with a comprehensive difference on the score board.
On the other hand, the second seeded Kim and Line could not live up to expectations while playing against their higher ranked country-mates and lost the match in just 30 minutes.
In the opening game, both couples entertained their home crowd by playing fast and positive badminton and remained close on the board in the opening half.
Both sides used their aggressive shots to dominate the pace of rallies but none of them could manage a considerable lead until the one-minute break.
After the interval, they continued playing positive and entertaining badminton by remaining quick in all areas of the court.
The score was 18-18 when Mads and Julie took over the charge and won the set with a close margin of 21-19.
In the second game, Mads and Julie were on a different level as they did not make any mistake and took an impressive lead of 11-5 until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Kim and Line tried to gear up their speed but failed to stop the aggression of their higher ranked team-mates.
In the meanwhile, Mads and Julie remained positive and composed and they did not face any problem in ending the match with a one-sided 21-9 score on the board.
Mads and Julie claimed the title by winning this final clash in just 30 minutes with a convincing margin of 21-19 and 21-9.
