Mae Rose Cottage to lead the Skybet Mobile For Iphone And Android Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Windsor
Windsor will stage the Class 5 Skybet Mobile For Iphone And Android Maiden Fillies’ Stakes over a mile and sixty-seven yards on Monday, 21st May. The race has attracted a line-up of fourteen three-year and older runners. The prize money for the
winner is £2,264.
The line-up is highly assorted with those who have to race their seasonal debuts, those who have tested their luck in the new season and majority of the candidates will be racing their career debut.
Mae Rose Cottage, Dylan Thomas’ three-year-old chestnut filly out of mare, Maskaya, has raced twice during the previous season and is racing the seasonal debut today.
Her career debut was in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Stakes on 6th July at Bath over five furlongs. The race was won by the 4/11 favourite of the race, Hidden Passion, who led the field by one and a half length
while riding with Shane Kelly.
Blanc De Chine qualified as the runner up and was soon followed by Thirsty Bear.
Her second outing of the season and the career was in the Sportingbet.Com Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 25th July at Windsor over five furlongs. Artistic Jewel was the winner and set the 5/6 favourite of the race, Royal Red, as the runner up.
Settling third was Mae Rose Cottage.
She ended with a decent ranking in her final race of the debut season and has to set off the new season with a chance at the same race course. She is by far the most experienced candidate on the line-up specially when it comes to racing at Windsor.
Two entries who have been placed in their most recent race are Al Baidaa and Disposition.
Al Baidaa finished third in the Betfair Supporting Grassroots Racing Maiden Stakes (Division II) at Kempton over a mile on 30th April. The race was won by Mississippi and Eagle Power settled as the runner up.
Disposition ended third in the Betdaq Mobile Apps/British Stallion Studs E B F Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 25th April at Kempton over a mile. Dank was the 5/4 favourite winner of the race.
Mae Rose Cottage will not only face competition from these two but also an army of those who are racing for the first time.
