Magaluf and palma nova?

Question

are these two places near each other and which ones is the best for a young group of friends in july. we thought magaluf may be a bit run down due to all of the clubbers so thouhgt of staying next to it

magaluf is much livlier but palma nova is so close its only a short walk between the 2-to be honest id stay in palma nova and just travel to magaluf in the evening when it comes alive

I am a travel agent. Magaluf is definately the livliest and has all the clubs in it like bcm. Some parts of Palma Nova run right into magaluf so it is walking distance but about 20mins a taxi is only a few euros. Depending on your ages and if it is your first holidays away then it is worth considering santa ponsa which is a safe resort with 55 irish pubs in it ans only about 10 euros in a taxi from magaluf.
