The VfL Wolfsburg manager is keen to avenge the two league defeats his team suffered at the hands of FC Augsburg last season.

Felix Magath’s side is currently in 12th place on the Bundesliga standings table with three points whereas the Bavarians are 16th with no win in the two games they have taken part in.
The manager admitted that is side lost both the home and away games at the hands of FC Augsburg last season and this is the time for revenge when the two teams meet this weekend. The tactician added that it was the first win against
Wolfsburg when Augsburg turned the tables and went on to secure their first division status at the end of the campaign.
The Bundesliga winning coach stated that his side is in a similar situation as they desperately need a win to kick start their bid for a European place.
“We managed to lose twice to Augsburg - not just away, but also at home. Augsburg can be grateful to us since their first win at home back them saw them turn the corner. We are in a similar situation now, but I don't want to be
the coach who helps Augsburg's season take off again,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Augsburg boss Markus Weinzierl admitted that his side has improved this season and claimed that the team had a host of chances to score against Schalke in the last league game. He is confident that Augsburg can
put in an impressive performance this time around.
“After the start of the season, we have improved and we had our chances against Schalke. Therefore, we are also capable of downing Wolfsburg,” he concluded.
