I need some answers to this questionnaire, if anyone would like to help by filling it in that would be great.

About 8 answers should be fine.

I'm not really asking about a specific type of magazine, just imagine you're being asked about one that interests you. Put what type before you answer if you like.

1.Do you read magazines often?

2.If you saw a magazine in the shop, what would convince you to buy it?

3.What price would you be willing to pay for a magazine?

4.How often would you prefer magazines to be sold?

5.What is your favourite part of a magazine?

6.What do you dislike about magazines?

7.If a magazine had a section where its readers could send in letters, would you ever consider sending one in?

8.If a magazine ran competitions, would you consider entering one?

9.What do you think about full page adverts in magazines?

10.Would you ever consider subscribing to a magazine?

Thanks to everyone that fills it in :) x

I work in the publishing industry so I get to read magazines for work and for pleasure.

The cover should always sell the magazine, either by a strong image or design, or a strong cover story.

I think around US$4 would be the upper limit for me and most people, although less if you subscribe.

4.How often would you prefer magazines to be sold?

I think the magazine format is ideally suited to a monthly publication, although there are many weekly and bi-weekly titles operating very successfully around the world.

5.What is your favourite part of a magazine?

It depends on the magazine and the subject. There are some magazines where I like all the content.

Nothing really. Okay I know I am biased working in the industry but I really don't dislike anything.

7.If a magazine had a section where its readers could send in letters, would you ever consider sending one in?

Yes, and I have done. Feedback from readers is a vital part of the success of any magazine, whether that feedback is good or bad.

8.If a magazine ran competitions, would you consider entering one?

Yes again, although sadly I've not won - yet.

9.What do you think about full page adverts in magazines?

I know that advertising is what makes magazines work. Without adverts there wouldn't be any magazines. The price you pay for the magazine in the shop accounts for a small percentage of the overall income of the publication. I know readers hate too many adverts but from a publishers perspective the more adverts, the better.
