HI. My husband's birthday is coming up. He's a sports car freak. What magazine subscription would be the best for him? He's mostly into speed & performance. Not so much vintage cars.

He's REALLY hard to shop for because he buys everything he wants at the drop of a dime. Any clue what else to get him?

I already bought him time at the track to race which was fun but I can't repeat the gift. I bought him some weird tuner thing he wanted last year. He has a Trans Am & has spent about $10,000 on modifications in the last 6 months. How can I compete with THAT?

I think he would like the magazine subscription though so can you tell me which one is the best?

  1. As long long as he lets you drive the car every now and then, why compete. My wife has been very understanding of the other "woman", which for me is racing. I make sure she is part of my racing program.

A couple of magazines he might like are Car and Driver or Autoweek. If he is into a specific type of racing, a magazine that specializes in that( such as Speedway Illustrated for stock cars ) would be a choice as well.

  2. 'Car and Driver' and 'Motor Trend' are sports car mags but usually have new car stuff too....

Since he has a Trans/Am, 'Hot Rod' or 'Car Craft' magazines feature alot of those.

Also, there are 'Pontiac' only magazines too.

Try going to a book store. They usually carry ALOT of magazines. You can get some ideas there and write down there websites to order them.
