When my blind friends come over and want something to read I just give them a cheese grater, they don't seem to notice any difference.  Also make sure you talk loudly so they can hear you.

i havent read any of those yet but i reckon i soon will be has my eyes are gradually getting weaker i do wear glasses and have regular check ups  i feel the difference every year.
