  1. Not to be a wise guy, but if I were you, I would return your Triton.  Those units are notoriously buggy and Magellan has been very slow to issue firmware updates to fix the problems with the Tritons.  Their technical support is offshored, and all those polite folks are able to do is read from a script.  In addition to being buggy, the Triton is known for being difficult to use.  To mark a waypoint on any other GPS receiver, it's 2-3 button pushes.  On the Triton, I have read that it takes many more button pushes.  If you are able to, return the Triton and get a Garmin 60Cx/76Cx or eTrex Legend HCx.  If you want to stay in the Magellan camp, go for the eXplorist 500 (if you get the 500LE, buy the Lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack because you get little use out of the AAAs).  If you can't return the Triton, eBay it and buy something else.
