Today I went outside and my garbage was full of maggots! I HATE THEM! It is so unbelievable because I sprayed bleach on them, I went into the garage and tried different things like black silicon, paint thiner, and some other things but that didn't kill those b******s! How can I get rid of them? Oh, and I even tried ketchup and mustard...and they are still living! Is there any household item that I can use????

THANKS!

HELP!

LOL!

I HATE THEM SO MUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

  1. They are the result of Flies laying eggs in your open garbage.  Bleach does nothing but make your garbage smell like bleach. Tie your garbage bags very securely, leaving no way for the flies to get in.  Use a garbage tie.  Then make sure the lid of your trash cans are on securely.  IF your trash cans have holes in them, replace them. If you have other rodents knocking your trash cans over or chewing the lids off (like racoons), keep the trash in your garage until the trash pickup day.  I had that same problem but I have solved it with the above suggestions.!

  2. Take the garbage can out into grass and take a hose and spray them out. Ketchup and mustard are giving them food. There are no household sprays that kill them.

Wash the can out after you get them out with something strong and disenfectant like pinesol or lysol. good luck

  3. I know this might sound a little morbid but dig a hole dump them in it, pour some bleach in the hole and them cover the hole back up. Bleach and wash out the garbage can and make sure the garbage doesn't sit more than 2 days next time or you can expect to have them again.

  4. The maggots are in the garbage, yes? Just enclose the garbage in a plastic bag. Seal it up tightly, and place the bag outside. You may need to rinse out your garbage can, but then you will be okay. They will go away once you remove the food source.

  5. try hot water. this happened and it did work! they just like freeze, well, not exactly freeze, but they die right at the moment when the hot water hits them!
