Maggots under tile one window sill ew!?

Question

So we just rented a new place, and were over there on the weekend cleaning,and my friend noticed the tile by the window sill in the bathroom (in the shower) was rotten a bit so she knocked the tile out, and there were a whole bunch of ants and maggots, gross right. So we cleaned em all up.

My question is, are they in the walls too???
