Magic Chef Oven won't light

Question

My Magic Chef oven won't light. Lately it has taken much longer to turn on (as long as 4-5 minutes) but I didn't think anything of it. Today it wouldn't light at all but filled the kitchen with gas. Tried it one more time: saw a yellowish light towards the back of the oven, but again, smelled gas & turned it off. My husband is fairly handy with fixing things & we were wondering if this is something we can fix or if we need a service call.
