The trick is, no matter what number you start off with, you will ALWAYS end up with a number that is a multiple of 9. It always makes all the multiples of 9 the same symbol. This is true up to above 81, but 81 is the greatest possible answer. I found this out using an algebraic process, but I really doubt it would interest you.

BOTTOM LINE: You will always get 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, or 81, and all those symbols are the same.

No matter what number you chose it will always be 0, 9 or a multiple of 9; e.g. 18, 27 etc...

All the symbols for these numbers are the same so they know what symbol is going to come up. Check the picture that comes up, all multiples of nine have the same symbol, and that's the one you choose if you do the maths.
