Magic Haze to cast a winning spell in the Southwell-Racecourse.co.uk Handicap at Southwell
Magic Haze is all set to deliver a fascinating performance at Southwell, in the Southwell-Racecourse.co.uk Handicap, on 6th March, 2012.
Trained by Sally Hall, the 6-year-old gelding will be competing with 9 other competitors on a 1 metre and 4 furlong track, for £1,704.
Magic Haze will be competing against Rubi Dia, Mustajed, Yours, Light The City, Kingaroo, Nippy Nicki, Tayarat, Bluecrop Boy, and Nesnaas.
The son of Makbul, out of Turn Back, has been performing well compared to last year. Magic Haze’s performance showed improved as he finished 4th in the Book Tickets At Southwell-Racecourse.co.uk Handicap, at Southwell, on 10th January,
2012.
This performance showed great progression as the gelding finished in 7th place in the closing race of 2011. He did not live up to the expectations of his trainer and owner, in the Desco Derby Novices’ Hurdle, The John Wade Hurdle Series Qualifier,
which took place on 6th September, 2011, at Sedgefield.
Magic Haze’s performance has taken a huge turn this year. His consistent performance has been demonstrated at Southwell, where he has raced twice this year.
Based on his improved performances, the bettors are taking a keen interest in him. His performances have been respectable and this race will show what he is truly made of.
Kingaroo is another tough competitor who is likely to stand in Magic Haze’s way.  Trained by Garry Woodward, the 6-year-old gelding showed a massive shortcoming in his last performance.
From finishing as a runner-up in the Dine In The Pantry Handicap, at Southwell, on 23rd February, 2012, he landed in 10th in his most recent race.
He could not keep up the pace and stayed throughout in the rear in the Find Southwell On Facebook Maiden Hurdle, at Southwell,   on 29th February,  2012.
The son of King Charlemagne, out of Lady Naomi, is expected to perform better in this race. Despite the fall, large bets are being placed on him. His connections are hoping that he will be able to overcome the poor hurdling and make his way to the front
in this race.
Tayarat made his connections, especially his trainer, Michael Chapman proud as he showed remarkable improvement. His performance was truly commendable as he moved from a 15th place finish to a first place victory in less than three days.
The son of Noverre, out of Sincere, finished in 15th in a line of 17, in the Rewards4racing.com Handicap Hurdle, in Market Rasen, on 19th February, 2012. He was consistently chasing the leaders but soon lost place.
He emerged victorious from the Henley Hall Gold Cup Handicap Hurdle as he crushed all competition and defeated J’Adhere by 2 ¼ lengths, at Ludlow, on 22nd February, 2012.
Mustajed showed tremendous improvement in his seasonal debut. After an 11th place finish in the concluding race of 2011, the son of Alhaarth, out of Jasarah, bagged a victory, leaving his trainer/owner, Rod Millman proud.
He defeated Carlton Scroop by a large difference of 5 lengths, in the Place Only Betting At Bluesq.com Amateur Riders’ Handicap, at Southwell, on 7th February, 2012.
With the runners showing improvement at this track, this race will be no less exciting. The bookmakers and punters are already placing bets on the runners that are their favourites, hoping to make big bucks.
Magic Haze is the obvious favourite, followed by Kingaroo and Mustajed.
