Magic Jack voicemail?

Question on the Magic Jack. Will our home phones show that we have voicemail? What if the computer happens to go out & the caller gets put right to voicemail? Will the regular phone show that we have a voicemail once the computer comes back up?

you MagicJack window will pop-up....but you also can dial your phone number and listen!! and you get an email telling you that you have a voice.message! not to worry, you will be covered from all angles....your regular phone will have a flashing red light.

We have had it for a week plus a couple days. We don't use our magic jack for receiving calls only for making long distance calls.

I have received email-voice-mails for a couple of calls I made to my own magic jack number. However, I have read that others have had trouble with incoming calls not being received.

By your question, am I correct in assuming that you plan on using the magic jack as a second line? When you say home phones or regular phone, I get the impression you are talking about an existing phone or phones not the magic jack. If that's what you mean then NO your existing line won't display any messages to your magic jack line unless you have an answering machine on your existing line and set up your magic jack number to forward to your existing number.

If your computer goes out and Magic Jack is your only phone you will get the message in your email if magic jack is your only phone line otherwise you will only get the message if magic jack is set up to forward to another number that takes the message. Sorry if I'm being redundant.

Personally I would not have magic jack as an only phone.
