Magic jack...more info!?

Question

I asked about the magic jack and got some good coments on this products, but i am wanting to make sure on something. Can I still be able to have internet with this device? Does this device provide internet how??? Or will I have to keep my phone company with the internet? Also it says you have call waiting collor ID? Does that show in the device? if so you have to get under the computer where the device is to see? Please more info thanks!!

yes...because you put the magic Jack into your USB port...! all you need is high-speed Internet!

I have my MJ since May/'7 and love it!! no hidden fee nor taxes even E911 is free ....and with my other VoIP provider ( Packet8) I have to pay 1.99 dollars a month!

I use it on my desk top at home and my laptop while traveling abroad....so I can call home for free, with an US area-code.....my family like it so much that I had to order 6 more....so they can call me for free in the US....like it says just use your USB port and your up and making calls in 5 minutes....!

its much easier to set up then any of the VoIP providers I also got an my computer.....I just bought the 2nd year which I only 19.99 per year..!

and the voice mail and all the features are just great...if you can't find your area-code....just get a GrandCentral number....unitll you can change over to your area code, its also free....

the good part is that you can use any old analog phone and dont have to buy a pricey VoIP phone....

You still need high speed internet from where ever you get it from. Majic Jack works with your internet, it does not replace your highspeed internet. All the call features work through software on your computer through that little device. It sounds like a good device though.

you need to keep high speed internet with cable or DSL..

the MJ is great, the CID/CWID works on the MJ software (window on the pc monitor) as well as the phones attached to the phone adapter, just like a normal phone service would provide... so far my MJ has only passed number information to my phone, and not name info...

the MJ sound quality, and ease of use compared to skype is much better, skype sound quality is very poor, and you have to almost jump thru hoops to dial regular phone numbers with skype out with an ATA connected to a standard phone..

I say MJ is the best phone service available of its kind, and its the cheapest, they have a 30-day free trial, so there is nothing to lose... try it out
