If Primalcrux is in my hand, then what is it's power and toughness? Is it zero or still being read as * ?

  1. Primalcrux power and toughness are always defined. This is a recent change in the oracle ruling database. A few months ago it would be considered 0/0, but now its defined on every game area.


  2. its power and toughness would be the same as if it were in play.

  3. The power/toughness of cards like primalcrux are what's called a Characteristic Setting Ability. These abilities exist in every zone, so it's p/t would be what it is when in play.
