[Magic the Gathering Cards #5] Knollspine Invocation?

How do I use Knollspine Invocation?

1. Can I use it to discard as many cards as I want or discard a card only 1 at a time?

2. When Knollspine Invocation is in play, example, I discard Supreme Exemplar which the mana converted cost is 7, so it deals 7 damage?, then I decided to discard another card which is Walker of the Grove which the mana converted cost is 8, so it deals 8 damage? both of these creature cards were discarded during my turn.

If this is possible, please help me about this situation.

Thanks again to everyone.

  1. You can use the ability of Knollspnie invocation as many times as you want as long as you can pay for the ability.

The ability requires you to pay X mana (where X is the converted mana cost of the discarded card).

Remember that Knollspince invocation requires you to discard the card and pay mana. If you do not do both, you can not use the ability.

So if you discard supreme exemplar, you will have to pay 7 mana. Later (in your same turn) if you want to discard walker of the grove, you will have to pay other 8 mana. If you do, you paid 15 (7+8) mana total and discarded 2 cards.

    Hope this helps

  2. 1.) You can only use it once per cost paid and only if the card has CMC equal to X.  If you paid 5 for X, then you have to discard a card with CMC 5, not multiple cards that equal 5.

2.) If you paid 7 for X and discard the Exemplar, then it would deal 7 damage.  If you do that, then you would have to pay 8 more for X and discard the Walker to deal another 8 damage.  Once the cost is payed, it resets to 0 and you have to pay X again to reuse it.  You may do this as many times as you want as long as you have mana to pay for it.
