Magic the Gathering type one deck feedback for idea?

I've been working on this deck concept for a while. The deck will be blue green and rely on hand size. The idea is to lock down the opponent while swinging with huge creatures. The lock down mechanism relies on arcane laboratory, mystic snake and trusted adviser. Arcane laboratory makes it players can only play one spell per turn. The mystic snakes act as counters spells, and are also a blue creature so I can bounce it back to my hand with trusted adviser to use every turn, and all these cards cost 3 or less mana. Then the kill mechanism relies on */* creatures whose power and toughness are based on hand size like Multani Marro Sorcerer, Masumaro, first to live, Soramaro, first to dream and Sakashima the imposter. I will also use creatures who can return cards to my hand and bounce or tap creatures as an ability to avoid using my spell for the turn. Spell books are a must and graceful adepts, both allow me no maximum hand size. Then cards like Arcanis, Jace or mytic tutor to draw cards

  1. It sounds like if you get some time to make it roll, it'll be unstoppable!  I would suggest throwing in a static orb just to be a pain in the ****!  Work it out so you can use a Temporal Adept or a Tradewind Rider to bouce it back to your hand before your turn then play it again.  You'll have all the mana untapped and they'll just peter along.  Look into propaganda for defense as well!

  2. Let's go step by step. First if you want to be competitive, you will need to have your lock online on turn 2 or 3 (or at least a soft version of your lock). Since type One is a really tight format you have to be sure that every card you draw will either give problems to your opponent or help you gain board advantage. Cards like spellbook and graceful adept do not give problems to your opponent or help you develop your lock, in your idea they are 'win more' cards (cards that give you a 'bigger' victory if things are going your way, but do not help you at all if your opponent is winning).

Since your lock uses blue and green, we need to focus on those colors for your mana base. Also we need to accelerate in order to get the lock going on. Also some early counters will be good against some decks. Here's a sample decklist:

    4x yavimaya coast

    4x Simic growth chamber

    4x reflecting pool

    4x arcane laboratory

    4x trusted adviser

    4x mystic snake

    4x chrome mox

    4x mox diamond

    4x force spike

    1x ponder

    1x brainstorm

    1x dazzle

    1x multani maro sorcerer

    SB

4x hidden gibbons (against more counters)

    4x krosan grip (against counterbalance)

Really you have to worry a lot about the aerly game.

  3. MY BROTHER PLAYS THAT CARD GAME!!!!

  4. If you are playing Type 1, then that deck is too slow.  That would be a good deck for casual.  I would use Isochron sceptor and boomerang if I were you.  You can't counter as good but you can bounce whatever they play back to their hand each turn and it doesn't use your one spell a turn enchantment.
