Magic the gathering help!?

im very new! i looked at the deck types and i think i wana build a red and green deck ( sorry i dont no the real names). does this make scence? will the deck work well?

  1. If you are very new to the game, I would suggest playing a one color deck.  Then as you learn, you will be more prepared for multicolored decks.

    But as is, red/green is a good combo to start with.  And I think you mean Kavu.  If it is, then I suggest looking at Invasion cards.  They have the most Kavu's.

  2. A red/green deck will work very well, especially with the new Shadowmoor expansion out. I suggest buying a bunch of boosters, and buying the Overkill theme deck. Add in what you think is cool from the boosters into the theme deck, and play it a few times. That should give you a good basis for a red/green deck.

    If you can find any other red/green theme decks from other sets, that is also fine, as you will see a wide variety of red/green cards from different sets that have alternate ways of winning.

  3. Any combination of colors will work when building a deck in magic, just make sure the cards support the other color in some way. I personally have a kavu deck that is red and green.
