to white creature +2/+1 to black creature. Nip is an either or creature in cast so does the enchant creature get both effects or you pick from the 2 since it is an either / or? also curious in creature types is creature-elf and creature-elf (whatever named) still considered same creature type? thanks everyone!!

  1. A card color is defined by its casting cost, and in some cases, by the rules text (ancestral memories, evermind, transguild courier, etc).

Since Nip Gwyllion is black and white (defined by the card's cost), it will get both, the +2/+1 and +1/+2 from edge of divinity for a total of +3/+3.

Two creatures share a creture type if one of the subtypes is the same.

For example: llanowar elf (creature - elf druid) and bramblewood paragon (creature - elf warrior), share a creature type. Also Ambassador Oak (creature - treefolk warrior), share a creature type (warrior) under current rules.

  2. A card is whatever colors are in it's mana cost. Nip Gwyllion has both white and black in it's cost, so it's both colors. That means that it gets both the +1/+2 for being white, and the +2/+1 for being black.
