Lately I've been getting into magic and I just wanted to learn some magic tricks. just tell me how to do them. thanks!

Every magician starts with card sleight and coin sleight

And yes, please learn sleight on hand, not those trick deck of cards or trick items.

The reason here is that you will learn the basic sleight technique such as palming, false transfer, secret loading and stuff like that

For example, by learning coin palming and false transfer, you use that same skill in for example, a rose production trick

What happens in this trick is you take a piece of normal paper in your right hand, do a false transfer to pretend like you put that normal piece of paper in your left hand, but you don't. In your left hand, you already "palmed" a flash paper. Flash paper is a paper that burns quickly and produce bright flash

your audience think that flash paper is the normal paper they saw just now, just burn it and your right hand reach for a rose and under cover of the flash, you produce the rose

that's the basic of rose production

Someone from the audience says... oh, that's just what happens when you do that, it's not magic.  The magician arranges the five toothpicks back into a pentagon and hands the person in the audience the magic toothpick.  The person dips it in the center.  Nothing happens.  It really was magic!

Supplies:

a tinfoil pan (a pie plate or leftover Chinese food plate work well)

water

6 flat wooden toothpicks

the magic ingredient:  liquid dishwashing soap  

Before the Audience - Preparation:  

Dip one of your toothpicks in liquid dishwashing soap.  Set it aside for now.

Make sure your pan is clean.  Rinse it well with water.  Fill it quite full of water (but not so full that you're going to spill it).

i saw these on cris angel mindfreak you have a fruit in a bag and you ask some people to say some fruit names and you write them down on a piece of paper and put them in another back. the fruit you have in the bag has to be a common fruit and no one can see what it is. so when people tell you fruit names you alway right down the name of the fruit in your bag (lets say that you have an apple in your bag). so you ask for people to give you names of fruit until someone says apple. so then you ask some random person to pick a piece of paper that had all the fruit names on it with out looking. so the person picks apple because that was the only name you put in there and you look like you have predicted what was going to happen because you had an apple in your other bag that the people couldn't see... i hope you get it and there is always youtube magic tricks (card ones are cool)
