  1. I've had one for about 3 months and a few quirks aside, it's a great device.  I would not recommend relying upon it as your sole phone service; it works best as a way to avoid long distance fees, save cell phone minutes or as a way to provide a teen with their own phone number without tying up the main phone.

  2. I have it since last year 5/07 and love it!!

thats why they call the Magic Jack..........the vonage killer!!

There are a lot of tricks you gotta learn to make it work just right!!

its cheap.....but I would not wanted as my primary phone service!

I use it to call back to the US while traveling...........!

You need a computer and a high speed internet connection like Cable or DSL (which I have)

VERY easy to install.....you will be up and running within 5 minutes...!

I have the MagicJack for a month and love it!!

People either hate or love a product.

    I love my MagicJack!

I use it with the combination of GrandCentral so I can use different area-codes!!

They call it the vonage and skype killer!!!

tip: after installation don't run it on the admin account...create another account for the MJ!!

Also, kinda watch and close out the device manager...but you will all learn that in good time on your own!!.

I just got my 2nd MJ...

  3. I dont know whats up with this dash R guy.. he must not have a MJ...

the MJ is great.. there are not extra fees.. unless you call international..

most calling features you would want are included, call waiting, voicemail (the voicemails will even be emailed to you), call forwarding... etc...

I had it as my primary phone service for a while.. I had a seperate PC on my LAN host just the MJ.... call quality is great... cost is right.. only down side is it is a usb device and you need to keep your PC on to take or make calls...

and would not recommend it for any data services (alarm, satellite box, fax, etc)

  4. I've had Magic Jack for over 2 mos. now. I love it!! I always use it when I'm home instead using my cell, so I don't go over my minutes. A friend in Texas calls his friend in Marikina (he's got magic jack) all the time. Saves both of them money. Another friend cancelled his Vonage as he was paying $25 a month, VS $1.66 on Magic Jack. Another friend will bring along his Magic Jack to Manila in a couple of months and leave it to his relatives, so they can call each other at these rates.

The only complaint I've heard is that they can't use the Magic Jack for their alarm and to open the gate, as they live in a gated community.

  5. Its a complete and utter scam.

You pay a service fee and you have to pay additional credits to actually make calls.

The software installs spyware\malware on your computer too.

Just use skype. Its free if you do voip-voip calls and you have to buy credits to make calls.
