MagicJack phone???

Question

I have a magic jack phone. I have set it up correctly but it won't let me make calls. what do i do???

after you have downloaded all the software...did you activate it!!  did you register the phone and number.?????

if you don all that....go to the website and scroll to the bottom of the page.....click on customer care......then click on magicFIX!!!

make sure no iPots are connected....otherwise go to device manager and disconnected them, while you try to install MJ!!

I had the MagicJack for 5 days and couldn't get to work and i had 14 tech support conversations. After the 14th one, I went to the other computer (which was logged in under our son's account) I plugged the MagicJack in and POOF it worked!!! So from there I figured out that in order to use the MagicJack you have to have a "LIMITED" user account on a computer. I was trying to install this item on "ADMINISTRATOR" user accounts. To prove that I wasn't crazy I created a NEW account and called it "MagicJackUser" and made it a "LIMITED" account and before you know it it WOKED!!!

Also:  Did you go through the registration process where you got to pick a number?

the magic jack chat is pretty good at helping walk you thru setting everything up, give it a try.

you may need to go to the magic jack website and download and install the magic fix to upgrade your device.

Some have had trouble making calls with MagicJack as computer administrator, while a second user was able to use it.!! Go figure... You get what you pay for..It is too flaky for me, from all the reports and reviews.

I get the feeling that you have not gone through the registration process.  Please go to the following site:

Click on:

"have Vista" and downlod the upgarde and install. This will work both for XP and Vista.

Should work. Make sure your magicJack is plugged it.
