Question:

MagicJack question?

I'm using a magicJack USB phone, and it installed completely, but there is a problem I'm having.

The phone has the traditional 'buzzing' noise, meaning it's working, and when the buttons are pressed, they, of course, make noise, so I know there is nothing wrong with the phone.

But, when I dial a number (say... 123-4567, for example), there is no more noise on the phone. Why can't I call out? This is bothering me.

  1. The first response is dead on - MagicJack sucks!

However, I don't recommend Vonage. Vonage can "suck" sometimes too, and is EXTREMELY pricey for what they're offering.

I highly recommend going to http://voip-reviewer.com and checking out their top providers. You get free months and equipment for going through them.

Hope that helps, and ditch MagicJack before it's too late...

  2. Cuz you need Vonage...MagicJack suxx dude..

  3. try a different USB port....if you have a new computer with USB2.....good...then use it!!

  4. I would suggest you try to resolve the issue via e-chat (live chat support) with MagicJack's customer service at: http://magicjack.com/link.asp?url=custom...

Hope this info is useful. Good luck!
