Magical Marley to trample opposition in A1 480m Flat at Perry Barr
Magical Marley’s latest win is still fresh in everyone’s memory. The black dog made it look so easy at the A2 level that his connections decided to take him straight up to the open class.
W. Russell’s charge suffered a lot mess in his debut appearance at the top level and as a result, completed the order of finish. Following an awful loss, he is coming one step down, making himself available for Tuesday’s A1 480m Flat at Perry Barr.
Magical Marley’s win at the A2 level was extremely impressive. After leaving the fifth trap, the son of Shaneboy Lee was uncatchable. An early pace and the strategy to go wide helped the hound establish his supremacy in the early exchanges.
He kept his head in front all the way through, winning the race by a couple of lengths. The skilful hound has an impressive record over 480 metres, and the bettors should not judge him on his recent 275-metre loss.
This trip will allow him to regain his momentum, and if he takes an early advantage, it will become a hectic outing for the rest of the pack. Other participants are: Catcherintherye, Tyrap Gaga, Timely Impact, Cals Commander and Cooneen Fantasy. The cash
prize for the winner is not a big one, but every hound’s respect is at stake.
Cooneen Fantasy has the draw in favour, but supporting him in this class does not look the way to any riches. The bookmakers are likely to keep Tyrap Gaga’s price down because of her extraordinary abilities. The recent form is an issue though, as she faced
three unlucky defeats lately.
Catcherintherye can produce a good turn of foot, and if he succeeds in doing so, his chances will be quite good. Cals Commander is due to start from the fourth trap, and this box does not guarantee a clear run. Similarly, Timely Impact is likely to find
it really difficult to outclass this line-up.
Beating Catcherintherye and Tyrap Gaga will be a tough task, and the only fellow who can do this is Magical Marley. We wish the best of luck to all the hounds.
