No!! you will have to buy credit just like Skype.....but if both parties have the MJ....then its free all over the world......I use it that way with my family abroad.....! I buy the MJ in a 6 pack on ebay....and send it to my family, including Iraq to our GI's...

MJ only send there device to the US and you also have to registered here in the US and then you can send it to your family and friends.

I believe it is free long distance in the U.S. But my parents have magicjack and my family is in Germany, my mother had to pay a small fee or package rate for that long distance. But it seems to be totally worth it.
