Can this be achieved with thinner magnets for lighter loads (is there a ratio for load bearing to magnet size?), does it use electro magnets - what type of magnets are used ? Would it be dangerous for a person in the way of the magnetic field? Would it be dangerous for a person to step on the 'track', whats the volt/wattage? Many questions, MUCHAS GRACIAS !

  1. The magnet in the track is an electromagnet, and when it is energized, it repels the magnet mounted on the bottom of the train, allowing the train to "float" above the track.

  2. Here is an article from "howstuffworks", talking about the the Maglev trains. I hope it helps.
