Magnets vs mathematics?

to understand and accurately predict electromagnetic fields - what level of math would best suit me?

  1. Any early calculus courses should be more than enough.  All you really need to know are integrals.  Integrals are useful when calculating the E-fields of wires, coils, and other non-point conductors/magnets.  There are many equations that have been derived to bypass the calculus so you could probably get by with knowing your algebra.
