Magpie's and kangaroo's? ?

Why is it legal in Australia to kill kangaroo's but not magpie's. there both native wild life to Australia. And magpie's always swoop me. i would rather be able to kill them then kangaroo's and so do heaps of people i know.

  1. Its not legal in Australia to shoot Kangaroo's, you need to apply for a permit to do so.

    I dont agree with the culling of kangaroo's, but sadly, it cant always be stopped (Canberra's culling of the Roo's for example).

    As for magpies, they are only doing what comes natural. They only swoop for between 6 to 8 weeks a year!!! Peak season being around late August and October. That is no reason to want to kill something! Not really a long time considering there you have 44 weeks of the year when they arent swooping!

    If magpies are so bad in your area try being "magpie smart", wear a hat and sunglasses. Avoid area's where you know they are swooping! They are only trying to be good parents!

    Or stay inside until magpie swooping season is over!
