Maharashtra Government plans to construct a Sports museum in honour of Sachin Tendulkar
According to Chief Minister, Prithviraj Chavan, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Maharashtra-c811 Government has planned to construct a sports museum in honour of the Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar.
While talking to media, Prithviraj Chavan said, "Sachin has made the state proud by his achievements in cricket. His contribution in the recent World Cup was immense."
Chavan explained that the government will be building a royal sports museum in Tendulkar‘s name, sporting a statue of the master blaster.

Chavan also honoured 44 sportsmen with awards at the Shiv Chhatrap ati State Sports Awards.
At the State Sports Awards function, Chavan recommended that Tendulkar should be awarded the “Bharat Ratna” in lieu of his cricketing services while representing his country.
The Master Blaster already houses several prestigious government awards such as the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan.
Sachin was also amongst the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1997 and recently in 2010. The Wisden award is one of the most coveted awards in cricket, dating back to 1889.
The legendary batsman has played 177 Test matches and has scored a massive total of 14692 at an outstanding average of 56.94 runs. He has 51 tons to his name in the Test format.
In One Day International cricket, the 38-year old has featured in 453 matches, collecting over 18000 runs including the highest individual score ever (200 runs).
Sachin is considered a cricketing God in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, he has served as a role model for his fans, exuding humility both on and off field.
The former Indian batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sanjay-c88566 Manjrekar described Sachin as, "A solid man for a solid foundation, Tendulkar is just what that India needs to put up match-winning totals.”
