Mahela Udawatte lauds Dinesh Chandimal for his excellent batting – Cricket News Update

Commenting on the veteran Sri Lankan batsman, Sanath Jayasuriya’s poor output, he told, “Jayasuriya did not do well. But he is our main batsman. Those kind of things happen.”
Opening his team’s innings, Jayasuriya could make only 6 runs and remained unimpressive in the bowling department as well.
Chandimal was rejoiced to have played a tremendous innings on an instrumental occasion, he stated, “I am happy to have contributed for the team. After top batsmen Sanath and Mahela got out, I tried to play for 20 overs. I play my natural game.”
The 21-year-old wicketkeeper batsman has played 12 ODI and 7 T20I matches for his national team along with starring in 35 First-Class, 51 List A and 32 T20 games.
Now, the dashing batsman is keen to extend his momentum to the main round and steer his side to thrive against the big adversaries.
