Mahir Saglik delighted with St. Pauli move- Bundesliga news
Former VfL Bochum striker Mahir Saglik has expressed his delight on joining Hamburg based FC St. Pauli. He claimed that he is looking forward to play for the Pirates and would relish his time under manager Andre Schubert.
St. Pauli were relegated from the Bundesliga last season after finishing at the bottom of the table with only 29 points. The club won eight and lost a staggering 21 times and will now start their next campaign in 2.Bundesliga.
Meanwhile, VfL Bochum had a great season and ended in third place in the second division but were unfortunate to end up on the losing side in the relegation play-off against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Saglik insisted that he is extremely happy to join St. Pauli and hailed that club and its supporters. He said that he has always enjoyed playing at the Millerntor Stadium because of the amazing atmosphere and wants to prove his
worth to the club. He added that he has had a very good relationship with manager Andre Schubert during his days at SC Paderborn and he would relish working with him again.

Club manager Andre Schubert also had some words of admiration for the striker. He insisted that Saglik is a value addition to the squad and will add to the club’s quality with his experience. He also added that the Turk is a constant
threat upfront and has immense talent to shine.
“I know him from the time in Paderborn. He is outstanding goal threat and a very good technician,” the tactician added.
