The Brazilian striker urges the Railroaders to win the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against Anzhi and warned the defensive line against Samuel Eto’o.
Lokomotiv Moscow striker, Maicon, has warned the Moscow-based club to prepare for the upcoming crunch Russian Premier League encounter against Anzhi Makhachkala at Lokomotiv stadium.
The Lokhi have started the third league round decently, having claimed 4 points from the opening 2 league meetings, against Kuban Krasnodar and Rubin Kazan respectively. However, they failed to advance to the UEFA Europa League
pre-quarter-finals after crashing out on the away-goals rule.
Lokomotiv managed to win against the Dagestani club 1-0 at Makhachkala stadium earlier this season, and Monday’s league encounter will give Jose Couceiro’s men a chance to do the double against Anzhi.
Maicon, who was not involved in the second league round game against Anzhi, assured the fans of his fitness ahead of the mouth-watering fixture. He warned the Lokhi against Anzhi and went on to admit that Suleyman Kerimov, the
wild-division president, has assembled a decent squad at the Dagestani club.

He went on to compare the Russian outfit with the English Premier League club, Manchester City. The Manchester club have managed to sign classy players, not unlike Anzhi, ever since the English outfit was taken over by a rich owner.
Speaking on the Parovozy, the Brazilian national revealed that Lokomotiv are similar to Arsenal FC.
“Anzhi are very similar to Manchester City in financial terms. They both have signed expensive players. I think they did the right thing to sign Roberto Carlos first, who has a great experience at top clubs.

Maicon went on to praise Eto’o, admitting that the Cameroon national will be difficult to handle. He said: “Eto’o is a dangerous player. So our defence needs to be attentive and very careful against him.”
