Mail (Classic) gone, replaced by Mail (Beta) on my *mobile device*?

Question

Mail (Beta) *loses* functionality that Mail (Classic) had.

There is *NO* "SWITCH BACK" on the mobile Yahoo Mail (Beta) page on the mobile device - so please, that answer is not correct.

Is there a direct URL for Mail (Classic)?????? (It's not the old URL as that now goes to Beta.)

Why was Mail (Classic) removed from the Yahoo menu???

What functionality was lost you ask? My ability to see whether I have new mail, new mail that is being automatically moved into my system of mail folders via various rules - there is no longer a "new mail count" displayed next to each the folder name. It is not reasonable to expect a user to constantly browse dozens of folders in order to discover that new mail has arrived. Without this functionality, Yahoo Mail (Beta) is useless to me. Why on Earth would this simple functionality be removed?

As of august 20th you had to switch to the new Yahoo mobile, they are shutting down the servers.

Well

the Date they discontinue GO1 is debatable.

The alert I got on my cell said August 20th.

The email I got in my yahoo inbox said August 27!

I saved both so I double checked and sure enough

they are not in agreement on the date.

So, who knows for sure, All I know is, many people are NOT happy with a Fancy version that has NO functionality, Me included!

And if you are not using a Palm and have a Windows Mobile operating system, there is no other free email product you can switch to to gain back functionality. And if anyone finds one, please share with us!

Granted, 2.0 is "prettier," but has far fewer features than 1.0, but 1.0 will be deactivated on August 20th, 2007, so there is no use hunting for the application...it won't work.

i hear ya. i'm really pissed off because this new version screwed my whole cellphone up. worst of all i can't just access my calendar straight from my phone, i have to literally go into 2.0 to retrieve my schedule. what the...!!!
