Mail from foreclosed house?

3.5 years ago, my family was foreclosed upon, and I never got my mail forwarded. Is the mail being held somewhere? I am now living overseas. If the mail is being held, is there any way to get it sent here even for a charge??

  1. It went to Dead Letter Office since you skipped out without filing a forwarding address.  That's who you contact.

  2. If it was first class mail it was returned to the sender.  If it was any other class of mail it was most likely destroyed.

Why are you concerned about mail that old?

  3. I bought a foreclosed home last November. All of the catalogs, sales fliers & general junk mail for the former owners goes in the recycling bin.

Anything I get that looks somewhat important goes back in the mailbox with a “return to sender” notice on it.  I haven’t a clue what happens to it after that.

UPS even made a delivery to them awhile back. I called UPS, it was picked up, and again, I have no idea what became of said package after.
