Mail going threw mailbox?!

If i were to send sumthing in a regular white envelope are they aloud to search threw it ?! from my mailbox if it looks normal with like a card or sumthing in it ? sorrry i dont kno wat to post this under..

The post office may search it if they feel it looks suspicious. Mail it from a postage center if you are worried.
