After waiting 2 years to hand raise a pigeon I made arrangements with a user on a pigeon website to send me some freshly laid eggs vi priority mail, it takes 2 days to ship. I've done my research on careing for pigeons and do have some supplies on hand.

I have read about someone who did this and it worked out ok.

think it's worth a try?

no jokes please

  1. Hello.

This is my own experience . I oredered some quail eggs and waited for them to come ...I even bought a nice incubator from the same place which I ordered the eggs . When the eggs came ...the mailman didn't give it to me, the mailman put in my mail box ALL DAY , and that day was over 100 degree hot ...by the evening when I check my mail ...I wanted to cry ...I called the post office and made a complaint ( in the box, they listed my # to call when the eggs come so I can come and pick it up , but they didn't call ) The PO said to give it a try ...2 weeks passed , the eggs never hatch so the PO redeem my money ...I never order eggs any more ...to many risks involve ...TM.

  2. Try a reputable hatchery.  I use Strombergs and have had outstanding success with them.  I have also used Murray McMurray hatchery for chicks.  I have raised over 1000 birds using these hatcheries.  These both do mail order.

  3. I get chicken, duck, quail, turkey, and guinea eggs sent to me all the time. The only thing I would worry about now is that it is pretty hot out and that does effect the eggs. Do you have an incubator and everything ready for them?

  4. i think so you sound very intrested

  5. yes. i think you should do it. make sure though if the eggs are bad he wil refund you. it hsould go over well  and the eggs should be great. good luck and nice job reaseraching.
